The studio's European Wildflowers print on a proper travel umbrella — an art-nouveau meadow overhead: rose-pink peonies and lilies with painterly outlined petals, teal-blue foliage that flows like water, and berry-red accents on a soft mint ground. 100% polyester pongee with a waterproof coating, printed by heat sublimation so the color stays vivid season after season, rain after rain.

• It opens semi-automatically: one press of the button and it's up, one-handed, in about a second. Eight strong fiber ribs hold the 48-inch canopy steady in real weather; folded, it's a 20.5-inch bundle that disappears into a tote bag or car door pocket. And it arrives dressed for the part — a matching printed sleeve (cut from the middle of the umbrella's own design), a wrist strap, and a velcro tie wrap.
